Do you design or work with implantable devices?
No.
Are you funded by the Gates Foundation?
Our sources of funding come from a small group of private donors, the Inter-American Development Bank, Harvard Catalyst, and the National Collegiate Inventors and Innovators Alliance. A lot of people think that because this is global health work it automatically is supported by organizations such as Gates or USAID, but that is not the case.
Can I work in your lab?
We look forward to working with volunteers through our IIH parent in which students and professionals can collaborate on projects on or offsite. E-mail helloiih@mit.edu for more information.
Do you take graduate students?
Admission to MIT must be gained before exploring avenues for working in the lab, just like any other lab.
I have an invention, can you help us?
On a case by case basis, we can assist other groups as they develop their products. Consulting work is done through a spinoff company called LDTC+Labs but there are many other qualified design consultancies.
